Advent is the beginning of the Christian calendar. It's the Church's new year celebration. We begin Advent in 2022 on November 27., We celebrate by lighting a new candle each Sunday for 4 weeks. This is a time of waiting and preparation for the celebration of Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we worship together in the evening and light the 5th candle, which represents the light of Jesus in the world. We then celebrate Christmas for the next 12 days, including Sundays. Everyone is welcome to join us for the special, holy time!
