Note from the Pastor In a matter of just a few weeks, our lives have changed completely. There is great fear for our health and income and food among other things. We are learning to cope with staying home and we are learning new ways to stay connected. Since we are not able to meet together at the church, I have been e-mailing an At-Home Worship document so that we can continue to worship. This allows us to worship at any time but I have encouraged us all to "gather" in our homes at 11:00 am on Sunday mornings to share the experience. If you would like to receive the At-Home Worship document each week, please send your email to the church office or to me. If you have special needs or prayer concerns during this difficult time, you are welcome to reach out to either the church office or to me. Grace & Peace, Pastor Debbie Smith HOLY WEEK WORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES It is strange to be unable to gather for Holy Week. In many ways, our current situation makes Holy Week that much more poignant. I find myself noticing the fear and uncertainty of the disciples as they follow Jesus to the cross and even beyond. And yet, Easter still comes. New life arises from death. Although we are not able to worship together in person, there are some worship experiences that we can share together even as we stay in our homes.
Walking the BibleLands Here is a series of three videos from Walking the Biblelands Virtual Tours conducted by Dr. Wayne Stiles. They are about 15 minutes each. He will take you on a tour through the scenes of Holy Week in the Holy Land, providing some wonderful insight from the geography of this place. Here is a link to the videos: https://www.walkingthebiblelands.com.
Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Services The Pittsburgh Presbytery is providing online services for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. The Maundy Thursday service includes communion so you will need to prepare by having some juice and bread available before the service begins.
